Storyboard

Once the raw footage has been caputred, students suddenly find themselves with lots of material and not always a good system for organizing it.  The storyboard is an essential component of producing the documentary film.  Having reviewed the raw footage, students should take notes on which segments they would like to include.  For practical purposes students should record the time and date stamp so that they can easily locate the appropriate segments.  While creating the storyboard an order should emerge, which will help students assemble their documentary's chronology.  At this point, they should be scripting voice-overs and selecting audio to include with their film.
